Deets: This Saturday, August 20th, LongHouse Reserve, East Hampton’s not-for-profit art garden, museum, and educational organization founded by Jack Lenor Larsen, will host a day full of sonic excitement!

From 10AM-12PM LongHouse Reserve invites children and families to a Sonic Music Machine Party! A whimsical morning making and playing instruments.

From 5PM-8PM, The Sonic Garden Party, the LongHouse Reserve Junior Council’s 2016 Summer Benefit, will take place. The Sonic Garden Party is an exploration of sound and community, set in the lush garden grounds.

300 attendees will gather for live music curated by National Sawdust, a silent auction of sonic sculptures by local artists, complimentary drinks, food for purchase from a food truck, and an interactive drum circle finale.

LongHouse Reserve is a not-for-profit organization with 16 beautiful acres in East Hampton, New York. Through its art collections, arboretum, sculpture gardens, and educational programs, LongHouse Reserve brings together art and nature, aesthetics and spirit, with the strong conviction that living with art in all its forms is central to living fully and living creatively. Works by George Rickey, Alfonso Ossorio, Yoko Ono, Pavel Opocensky, andTakashi Soga are also on view, while the installation of a “Fly’s Eye Dome” designed by Buckminster Fuller and a site-specific Sol LeWitt piece add interesting scale and dimension.
