Deets: Over 2,000 guests and many of television and film’s favorite celebrities showed their support and celebrated the 17th Annual Mattel Party on the Pier on September 25th at the world-famous Santa Monica Pier!
Since its inception, Mattel Party on the Pier has provided unrestricted funding to launch high-priority programs that benefit boys and girls being treated at Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA and around the world. Recent support has been directed towards clinical trials for teen and young adult patients in the pediatric hematology/oncology division, the development of new therapies for pediatric patients suffering from leukemias and lymphomas, and to support research in pediatric cancer predisposition and precision medicine. Additional funding has supported our hospitalists who provide hospitalized children with continuity of care in our Westwood and Santa Monica locations and our telemedicine program which works to connect our world renown pediatric specialists with partner hospitals locally and globally.
As a vital part of UCLA Health, Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA is a place where state-of-the-art care is delivered in a compassionate, family-centered atmosphere. Our general pediatricians work alongside leading specialists and subspecialists, and our physician-scientists discover new treatments and innovations that transform pediatric healthcare. The vision of this extraordinary team and the generosity of our dedicated philanthropic partners help ensure a brighter tomorrow for all children.
