Deets: This summer’s “Citi Concert Series on TODAY” is starting in a big way. Entrepreneur and three-time Grammy Award winning music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, aka Puff Daddy, is reuniting the Bad Boy Entertainment Family for an epic performance celebrating two decades of hits. The 21st annual summer concert series begins Friday, May 20 and will bring the hottest hit-makers to the TODAY plaza all season long.

This year’s line-up includes Blake Shelton and Jessica Simpson, veteran TODAY performers who bring massive crowds to the plaza. Powerhouse singers Celine Dion and Alicia Keys also return to TODAY, and the hip-hop duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will perform their first-ever concert on Rockefeller Plaza. The 2016 series also features country superstars Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley, singer-songwriters Rachel Platten, Charlie Puth and Shawn Mendes and rock band DNCE. Crowd-favorites Nick Jonas, Meghan Trainor and Fifth Harmony are set to deliver blowout performances and The Band Perry will be performing live from the XXXI Olympic Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro.

To give fans even more access to their favorite artists, TODAY is teaming up with Entertainment Weekly for a backstage pass to the “Citi Concert Series on TODAY” with exclusive artist Q&A’s in the magazine and videos from the plaza on EW.com.

TODAY is collaborating with Apple Music to enhance this summer’s concert experience, and will launch an Apple Music Curator profile to coincide with the first concert. It will feature playlists by the TODAY anchors and performers, as well as exclusive show content and the latest music from the artists of the “Citi Concert Series on TODAY,” which will also appear on iTunes. TODAY is also exclusively utilizing Shazam technology to allow fans to unlock content during performances from their favorite artists all summer long.

Hint For The Average Socialite: 
Fans are encouraged to visit the plaza outside TODAY’s Studio 1A for the live performances. Viewing is on a first-come, first-served basis. Entrance is located at 48th Street and Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.

- For security purposes, a concert line cannot form until 11 a.m. the day before the concert (i.e. if the concert is on Friday, you may begin waiting in line at 11 a.m. on Thursday).


- Fan Passes: A limited number of reserved Fan Passes are available by advanced registration via a digital lottery system. For each concert, we will send a Citi Concert Series on TODAY Newsletterapproximately two weeks before the concert date announcing the lottery sign up is open, providing information on how to sign up for a Fan Pass.

- You must be registered for the Citi Concert Series on TODAY newsletter to request a Fan Pass. Visit TODAY.com to sign up for the TODAY concerts newsletter.

- After entering the lottery, Fan Pass recipients will be notified via email approximately one week before the concert and will receive instructions on attending the concert.
VIP Passes are reserved for guests of NBC and the musical performer, and are not available to the general public.
