Last night, the Endometriosis Foundation of America (EFA) presented the 8thAnnual Blossom Ball at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers in NYC. The night of celebration and charitable giving for the endometriosis community was hosted by EFA Founders Padma Lakshmi and Tamer Seckin, MD. Susan Sarandon and Lena Dunham, who both have endometriosis, received the Blossom Award for their contributions to raising awareness for endometriosis, associated women's health issues, and the advancement of women.

The Endometriosis Foundation of America strives to increase disease recognition, provide advocacy, facilitate expert surgical training, and fund landmark endometriosis research. Engaged in a robust campaign to inform both the medical community and the public, the EFA places particular emphasis on the critical importance of early diagnosis and effective intervention while simultaneously providing education to the next generation of medical professionals and their patients.
