Deets: The Olivier Awards 2016 with MasterCard will return to the stunning surroundings of Covent Garden’s iconic Royal Opera House on Sunday 3 April for an incredible evening of celebration, award-giving and unbelievable live performances.
With UK theatre’s most prestigious awards celebrating its 40th anniversary, the illustrious event will be one of the most spectacular in the history of the West End.
The evening will bring together a host of theatre luminaries, entertainment icons and celebrated guests to celebrate and applaud those actors, designers, directors and productions that have stood out over the past year.
Once again the Olivier Awards with MasterCard will also return to Covent Garden, taking the party to the Piazza where events will include performances from all of the Magic Radio Audience Award shortlisted shows and a live screening of events taking place inside the Royal Opera House.

In addition to the public celebration in Covent Garden Piazza, and inside the Royal Opera House, 2016 offers even more ways to watch and listen to the ceremony.
ITV returns, offering theatre fans a chance to watch extensive highlights of proceedings on the evening of 3 April on ITV and the opportunity to enjoy it all over again for weeks after via ITV Hub.
Fans can also listen to the event live as it is broadcast on Mellow Magic, the new station from Magic Radio, which will also air an exciting series looking back at 40 years of the Oliviers in the run-up to the event.
In another exciting new partnership for 2016, the Olivier Awards with MasterCard have teamed up with YouTube. The new Olivier Awards YouTube channel will screen live coverage of the performances in Covent Garden Piazza on the afternoon of 3 April, and will screen the ceremony in full for international audiences.
