Deets: Academy Award®-nominated star Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids, The Heat, Tammy) headlines The Boss as a titan of industry who is sent to prison after she’s caught for insider trading. McCarthy is joined in The Boss by an all-star cast led by Kristen Bell, Peter Dinklage and Kathy Bates. Directed by Ben Falcone (Tammy), the comedy is based on an original character created by McCarthy and written by McCarthy and Falcone alongside their Groundlings collaborator, Steve Mallory. Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard announced the chance for fans to go on a double date with them to the premiere of Universal Pictures’ upcoming comedy The Boss, starring Melissa McCarthy, Bell, Kathy Bates, Tyler Labine and Peter Dinklage. Lucky movielovers who donate to the couple’s CrowdRise fundraiser for InspireDR, an out-of-school learning program supporting young boys in the Dominican Republic, are eligible to win.
InspireDR’s mission is to educate, mentor, and inspire boys to develop into productive and responsible citizens. Driven by the lack of extracurricular activities available for young boys in the community of Cabarete, a city on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic, InspireDR aims to provide a safe place where boys can learn values and practical skills e.g. English, problem solving, making healthy choices, leadership, among others.
The contest launched Wednesday and ends March 22, 2016 at crowdrise.com/thebosspremiere. Fans of Bell and Shepard can donate for a chance to win a VIP experience that includes 2 tickets to the Los Angeles premiere of The Boss, round-trip airfare, two nights in a four-star hotel, a walk down the red carpet and an invite to the after party.
"This cause is especially important to me because I truly believe kids, especially young boys need a place to belong, learn leadership skills, and have fun!” explained Bell, "Dax and I look forward to sharing our evening at the premiere with the winner of the CrowdRise campaign. We’ll be sure to make it extra memorable by showing whoever wins all the special, behind the scenes action of attending a movie premiere!"
Every $10 donation gets participants one entry for the grand prize. Fans can donate and learn more about the charity in an informational film at https://www.crowdrise.com/thebosspremiere.
