Deets: The Diamond Ball ranks among the top fundraisers in Florida and is recognized by society’s elite as the launch of the South Florida gala season. As Miami Children’s Health System’s premier signature event, the Diamond Ball pays tribute to the Hospital’s grateful patients, world-class physicians and generous philanthropists, and helps to raise funds to position Miami Children’s as a world leader and global destination for pediatric health and wellness. Invited guests experience a spectacular themed black-tie affair with a stylish cocktail soiree featuring entertainment, a sensational silent auction and much more.
Approximately 900 celebrities, community leaders, philanthropists, physicians, friends, supporters, patients and families of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital came together on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the JW Marriott Marquis, as Miami Children’s Health Foundation hosted the Hope Diamond Ball Affair. The premier signature event raised more than $6 million, including announced gifts, that will help support world-class care at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and will continue to position them as a global destination for pediatric health and wellness, as well as a provider of hope for children everywhere. Internationally renowned pop artist Romero Britto joined the ranks of Walt Disney, Dwyane Wade, Dr. Jonas Salk and Beyoncé Knowles when he was inducted into the Ambassador David M. Walters International Pediatric Hall of Fame for exemplifying his passion for helping children throughout the world. Invited guests and celebrities experienced a Hope Diamond-themed, black-tie affair with a stylish cocktail soiree featuring entertainment, silent auctions and much more.
