Deets: Autism Speaks held its first ever Autism Speaks to Los Angeles Celebrity Chef Gala – a must-attend event hosted by late night comedian Conan O’Brien featuring over 100 of the world’s finest chefs. This one-of-a-kind evening honored Co-Founders of Autism Speaks Suzanne and Bob Wright and commemorate the 10th anniversary of Autism Speaks.
The Grammy®-winning artist P!nk performed "Crystal Ball" with co-writer Billy Mann as a tribute to Autism Speaks, the world's leading autism science and advocacy organization, and to the families affected by autism.
The gala began with award-winning chefs presenting hors d’oeurves during an hour long cocktail reception. Following cocktails, some of the world’s finest chefs including Akasha Richmond, Antonia Lofaso and Betty Fraser prepared and served four-course meals tableside exclusively for their guests. Chef Giada De Laurentiis joined as a special guest in support of Autism Speaks.
Since its inception, the event has raised nearly $8 million dollars for the research, awareness and advocacy initiatives of Autism Speaks. Sponsors include Toyota, ION Media Networks, Discovery Communications, NBCUniversal, Google, Univision, Tommy Cares and Pepper Gate Footwear.
