Deets: The Steve Nash Foundation's 8th annual Showdown NY will get underway on June 24th! The GNC Live Well Showdown Fanfest starts at 4 PM and the game kicks off at 6:30 PM at Sara D. Roosevelt Park (Chrystie Street between Stanton and Rivington). Mixing the fast-paced worlds of the NBA and professional soccer in a competitive soccer match in downtown Manhattan, The Steve Nash Foundation's Showdown is a exhibition of top class national and international talent. Open to the public with special seating ticket sales going to benefit The Steve Nash Foundation for underserved children, the match promises to exhibit the top professional talent of the best basketball & soccer stars today! 

Dedicated to assisting underserved children in their health, personal development, education and enjoyment of life, the Steve Nash Foundation operates globally to increase access to critical needs resources for children affected by poverty, illness, abuse or neglect. Through its own initiatives, as well as grants to child-focused non-profits, the Foundation builds healthy communities by growing health in kids.

The Foundation focuses its work in Arizona (Educare Arizona, an early learning initiative), British Columbia (BC Grants), nationally across Canada (a child abuse prevention strategy in cooperation with the University of Victoria), the USA (Child Abuse Research and Education initiative), and overseas in Paraguay (Support Hope, providing for critical needs health and community resources).
