Deets: The Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association (GLAZA) and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) partnered on "Dreamnight" at the L.A. Zoo for Children’s Hospital patients and their families in a private event made possible by Munchkin, the evening’s Presenting Sponsor, on Friday, June 5, 2015. Approximately 1,100 guests comprised of CHLA’s patients and their families had the unique after-hours opportunity to explore a route in the Zoo featuring; up-close opportunities with animals, chats with keepers, entertainment, costumed characters and dinner.
Celebrities attending were Sean Murray, Pauley Perrette, Carolyn Hennesy, Matthew Lillard, Charley Koontz, Alexa Farr and cast members of Disney Channel's "Dog With a Blog" TV series G. Hannelius, Beth Littleford, LJ Benet and Kayla Maisonet. Also there were GLAZA President Connie Morgan, LA Zoo Director John Lewis, CHLA Senior Vice President DeAnn S. Marshall, Munchkin Inc. Founder & CEO Steven B. Dunn, Munchkin Inc. President Andy Keimach, and "Dreamnight" Co-Chairs Beth Hunt Price, GLAZA Trustee and CHLA Trustee, and Kim Shepherd, long-time GLAZA supporter and CHLA Trustee. Event sponsorships and general donations supported the work of the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association and Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Dreamnight is part of a global charitable initiative in which zoos, aquariums and museums throughout the world partner with institutions that care for children.
