Hot Spot: The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, Los Angeles, CA
Deets: On May 30th, the 2015 MOCA Gala returned to downtown Los Angeles where the art, music, and film industry elite came to support the Museum of Contemporary Arts. The event was held at the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA presented by Louis Vuitton and honored John Baldessari, the famous American conceptual artist known for his work featuring found photography and appropriated images.
Last year, the fundraiser celebrated the museum's new director, Philippe Vergne, and netted a total of $2.4 million dollars. Celebrities that attended were Katy Perry, Ryan Seacrest, Jane Fonda, Dita Von Teese, China Chow, Rachel Zoe, Liz Goldwyn, Gela Nash-Taylor, Rodarte designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy, as well as museum patrons Lilly Tartikoff-Karatz, Eli Broad, and Maurice Marciano among others. Music legend Diana Ross, took the stage for a special live performance to make the evening unforgettable.
