Deets: Frieze New York is an international contemporary art fair that launched in May 2012. In 2014 the fair included over 190 of the world’s leading galleries, making Frieze New York 2014 the company’s largest event to date. Like Frieze London, Frieze New York is housed in a bespoke temporary structure, suffused with natural light.
Frieze New York is one of the few fairs to focus on contemporary art and living artists. The exhibiting galleries represented the most exciting artists working today from around the globe. The focus on contemporary artists was also evident in Frieze Projects, New York, a program of talks and artist commissions presented at the fair. Frieze New York is housed in a bespoke temporary structure, which is located in Randall’s Island Park, Manhattan.
This year they were delighted to introduce Spotlight, a new section of solo presentations of 20th century art from around the world. Spotlight joins Frame, a section dedicated to artists represented by emerging galleries and Focus, featuring artworks specially conceived for Frieze New York.
