Deets: The V&A is delighted to announce that it will present Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty in London in spring 2015. The first and largest retrospective of the late designer’s work to be presented in Europe, the exhibition will showcase McQueen’s visionary body of work. Spanning his 1992 MA graduate collection to his unfinished A/W 2010 collection, McQueen’s designs will be presented with the dramatic staging and sense of spectacle synonymous with his runway shows. McQueen's work is arranged thematically, with areas focused on different notions of Romanticism – including gothic, primitivism, nationalism and naturalism.The original version of Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York in 2011 was organized by the Costume Institute and became one of the museum's top 10 most visited exhibitions.

Hint For The Average Socialite: V&A sold 30,000 advance tickets in a record-breaking time, Book your ticket slot online beforehand – weekends might be a no-go, but there’s decent availability on weekdays from April onwards. Arrive EARLY before work on April 27 and May 11, when the show will be open at 8am.
If you’d like to go before then, one of the easiest ways to get a ticket is to just turn up early on the day you want to go. Two hundred tickets will be available each day at 10am, to be sold on the door on a first come basis.
