When: Sunday, March 1- Tuesday, March 31, 2015

Hot Spot: Off your phone in the United States

Deets: Celebrities including Selena Gomez, James Franco, Serena Williams, Zendaya and many others are taking to social media on behalf of The UNICEF Tap Project, in which participants can provide one day of clean drinking water for a child in need for every 15 minutes they put down their phone. As this week is World Water Week, this trend is especially topical.

Over the past 9 years, the UNICEF Tap Project has raised more than $5 million for UNICEF’s water and sanitation programs in countries such as Cameroon, Nicaragua, Vietnam, Haiti, and many more. This year, with your help in spreading the word, we hope to add to that figure significantly.
